These phones were set up the old way and are waiting for you. Approve only if it's really that employee's phone, or deny and give them a setup code instead.

Pay periods are two weeks, Sunday through Saturday. Overtime is hours over 40 in each week, counted separately for week 1 and week 2. A shift that crosses midnight counts on the day it started.
Open an employee to see each shift, fix a missed punch, or void a wrong one.
Pay is from corrected timecards: overtime at 1.5× for hours over 40 in each week; salaried staff at 1/26 of their annual salary. Taxes are estimates from each employee's W-4 and NC-4 using 2026 rates. CBIZ's actual payroll is the final word.
Grouped the same way as the CBIZ entries in the hotel books.
PTO is granted per calendar year and is use it or lose it: unused hours end Dec 31. Record PTO when it's used; it comes off the balance and shows on payroll. Hourly staff are paid PTO hours at their rate (PTO doesn't count toward overtime). Salaried staff are already paid by their salary, so PTO only reduces their balance.
Each employee punches from one phone. To set one up, give them a 4-digit setup code: they scan the sticker at the hotel and type it in, and their phone is ready. Codes work once, only for that employee, only on the property. A new code for someone retires their old phone. Reset a phone if it's lost or the employee leaves.

Open the time clock with a 4-digit PIN or a drawn pattern instead of your email and password. Either one unlocks it. It's set separately on each phone or computer you use, and each manager sets their own.
Print the QR sticker and post it where staff start their shift. It only works for this hotel's staff, on their approved phone, on the property. If a sticker is ever misused or you want new ones, replace it; old stickers stop working right away.
Staff in these departments are paid from the start time: clocking in earlier still counts from the start time. The first clock-in of the day at or after the start time plus the grace minutes is a late punch. The employee sees a message on their phone, and it's flagged on the live board, timecards and payroll. Departments without a start time are never marked late.

Punches are only accepted from phones inside this circle. For the most accurate center, stand at the front desk and use "Set to my current location".
Try the whole thing from your own phone, from anywhere: phone setup, punch codes, the late message and the paid-from-9:00 rule. Test punches are kept separate and never appear in timecards, payroll or the Monday email. Your location is checked and reported, but it won't block a test punch, so you can test from home.
